50+ Housing Council

Council News & Updates:

The 50+ Housing Council presented the first in a series of five sessions on “How to Get Started in 50+ Housing.” The first session was presented on February 21st at 3:00 pm. Tom Melchior, Manager, Larson Allen spoke on “Feasibility.” He discussed the market dynamics unique to understanding the opportunity for 50+ housing in a particular area, identifying the various product types, as well as, creating a professional market study and why. Skip Sorenson, Pope Architects, discussed “Creating the Team.” It was a comprehensive introduction about who is essential to include when creating a time to undertake 50+ housing and a description of their roles.
