The BATC PWBC has awarded one $500 and two $250 scholarships to young women interested in careers in the construction field.
Congratulations to Holly Cason who received a $250 scholarship. Holly is graduating from Dunwoody College of Technology with a degree in Electrical Construction and Maintenance. Also congratulations to our second $250 scholarship recipient, Christina McDaniel. Christina attends the University of Minnesota majoring in architecture; she will be spending the spring 2008 semester in Oaxaca, Mexico studying architecture. With a masters in architecture, Christina is planning on integrating both green and biologically based technologies in both residential and commercial building designs.
The recipient of the $500 scholarship went to Kenosha Washington. Kenosha has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, but decided to do a transition in her career. Kenosha is attending St. Paul Technical College to become a welder. She loves getting up in the morning to "get her hands dirty" in the trades. Her goal is to become a Pipefitter.
Congratulations to all of our scholarship winners.
